From June 2018 to March 2020 our Teaching Progam was being run in two villages, Muneerabad and Pudur both in Medchal District of Telangana. Along with this occasional sessions were conducted at ‘’ Orphanage in Turkapally – again in Medchal district.

Muneerabad & Pudur

In Muneerabad and Pudur our volunteers conducted one session daily through out the academic semesters of NALSAR University of Law, only leaving out the week before exams at the university. While mostly we relied on study material made in-house, from this year on we also started procuring picture books, story books, bilingual books, and work books in order to enhance the learning experience of the children.

While our training sessions broadly relied on reading and writing exercises, equal amount of attention was given to activities which are traditionally used for academic purposes. These non-traditional activities involved presenting children the opportunity to know and use English vocabular via games, colouring exercises, role play, etc. This helped in retaining children’s attention while they learnt the language without considering it to be an academic burden.
