Based on our earlier interactions and the subsequent analysis of the students understanding of English, we decided to get them acquainted with various parts of speech. Vaidehi Das and Sruthy Sriram were in charge of teaching Nouns to the class and in spite of the time constraint and the language barrier they were able to clarify what a noun is, to the entire class.
They were highly interactive in their approach; asking the students to speak up frequently and by giving examples from their daily lives, which helped them gain the attention of the students which in turn ensured active participation from their side. As compared to the previous class, the students behaviour was far more tolerable this time, if not ideal for conducting a class. Chocolates were given to four students to acknowledge and appreciate their interest in learning the language.
